FAQs

What is TSCPA's sponsor number?

It is TEO 001.

Do I qualify for the TSCPA member discount fee?

You may qualify to receive the TSCPA member discount fee if you are a member in good standing with TSCPA. (Note: TSCPA membership is on an individual basis only, not by firm/company.)

Why can I only take 20% of my CPE as Journal Exams?

Periodical reading and testing cannot exceed 20% of the total required CPE. The reading of any journal or periodical for continuing professional education credit is subject to the 20% limitation as "Other CPE."

How can I receive a group discount on CPE?

When you register five or more employees, you can receive a 10% discount on all TSCPA seminars and seminar live stream courses or a 15% discount on all TSCPA conferences or conference live streams. To take advantage of this offer, simply fill out the online form, and a TSCPA staff member will reach out to you to complete the group registration process with the applied discount. *Exclusions may apply, including state-specific ethics and chapter events.

TSCPA Policies and Procedures

Cancellations, Substitutions, Transfers and No-Shows

Cancellations will be accepted by our online tool, email or phone. Substitutions and transfers will be accepted by email or phone. Cancellations, substitutions and transfers are unavailable for self-study products, including On Demand Video Library courses, Journal Exams and the AICPA Professional Ethics Exam.

Cancellations:
Cancellations requested four (4) days or more prior to the event date may cancel and receive a refund without penalty. Cancellations requested three (3) days or less prior to the event date will have their registration fee held for use with another TSCPA event. Refunds will not be given after eMaterials are accessed on the TSCPA website (a requirement of education vendors).

Substitutions and Transfers:
Substitutions and transfers must be received prior to the program date. If a registrant wishes to transfer or make a substitution, TSCPA will honor that change without penalty.

No-Shows:
A registrant who fails to attend a program is considered a no-show and forfeits their entire registration fee. To avoid being a no-show, please follow the guidelines noted above and contact TSCPA prior to the program date. No-shows are ineligible for course materials, transfers, money on account or refunds at any time.

eMaterials

Only eMaterials are available for TSCPA's CPE programs. TSCPA registrants understand and agree to the following:

  • Once eMaterials have been uploaded to your Profile page, TSCPA will be unable to offer a refund regardless of the reason for cancellation (a requirement of education vendors).
  • All materials received by TSCPA are protected by copyright, and reproduction or resale of any of the materials is expressly prohibited.
  • All eMaterials will be uploaded to your Profile page seven (7) days in advance of the CPE program and will be available to all registrants for thirty (30) days following the program. Simply log in and click "Download eMaterials" under the program listing. If registered for a TSCPA's On Demand course, access to the on-demand and related materials will be available through the TSCPA My Learning page. On demand purchases will be accessible from this personalized page.

Verification of Attendance

A copy of the Verification of Attendance, noting the credits earned, will be emailed within two weeks of the program. Attendance is monitored throughout the entire program. CPE hours will be adjusted for late arrivals, early departures and no-shows.

If taking part in a live virtual, pre-recorded webcast or On Demand course, during the course of the video, a number of alphanumeric codes will appear periodically. When you see one of these codes, write it down. The number of codes will vary depending on the length of the video. At the end of the video, submit the attendance verification codes below the video player. Once codes are input, you will receive credit on your CPE Tracker. You will be able to view and print your certificate at that time.

Learning Accommodations

TSCPA works to select only those CPE program locations that are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you have special needs, please contact TSCPA via email atcpe@tscpa.com and submit requirements in writing.
