Advocacy & Influence
TSCPA champions our members’ interests, exemplified recently by our leadership in securing licensure flexibility through state legislation, which now allows new pathways with 120 hours of education plus experience. We will continue to engage policymakers and state and federal agencies to amplify our collective voice in shaping the future of the profession. As the political environment evolves both nationally and in Tennessee, TSCPA stands ready to be the voice of Tennessee CPAs – elevating and communicating key issues, protecting your license, and advocating for the profession at large.
Continuing Professional Education
TSCPA is a full-service professional development provider of top-quality continuing education covering the most relevant and timely topics shaping the profession. TSCPA members receive substantial discounts on their CPE registration fees across all formats, which include in-person, live online and On Demand. Relationships & Connections
Our strength as a profession lies in the relationships we cultivate. We support accounting professionals through every career stage – from students and emerging professionals to experienced CPAs – with networking events and outreach to various member segments and aligned organizations across Tennessee.
In addition to specialized programming at the state level, TSCPA's seven geographic chapters provide members with regular continuing education programming in addition to local networking and volunteer leadership opportunities.
Talent
TSCPA promotes accounting as the business profession of choice, supporting students and CPA Exam candidates with scholarships and resources to accelerate successful entry into the profession. TSCPA also works to enhance the retention of early-career professionals – supporting them at both the individual and employer level as they navigate the first stages of their career. TSCPA members fuel these initiatives through leadership and volunteer opportunities designed for emerging talent.
Scholarships
The Educational & Memorial Foundation of TSCPA awards more than $250,000 in scholarships each year to Tennessee college and university students majoring in accounting. Over the past 30 years, more than $4.6 million has been awarded to more than 3,000 students. TSCPA scholarships are open exclusively to TSCPA members.
News and Information
The Tennessee CPA Journal, provided exclusively to members, provides technical articles relevant to CPAs as well as new laws and information impacting the profession. TSCPA members automatically receive a subscription to the Journal, which is available in both print and digital formats.
