TSCPA Students & Emerging Professionals Manager Megan Williams has been passionate about working with college students and young professionals since her own college years at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). “I worked on campus when I was an undergrad at MTSU and really enjoyed working with students and the college environment,” she says. At MTSU, Megan completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. Once out in the working world, she realized education was the field she wanted to pursue, so Megan returned to MTSU and earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration.

In her role at TSCPA, Megan is responsible for student and emerging professionals outreach initiatives. “I believe our students and young professionals need a community that shows them the opportunities that can come with an accounting career and invests in them to become the next leaders in the profession, and that’s exactly what TSCPA does,” Megan says. “It’s wonderful to see how dedicated our members are to supporting the pipeline and encouraging emerging professionals. I am so glad I get to be a part of that.”

A Middle Tennessee native, Megan grew up in Fayetteville and Franklin and has a big extended family, including 15 nieces and nephews. “There’s never a dull moment at our get-togethers,” she says. In her free time, Megan enjoys watching scary movies, the Red Sox and the University of Alabama sports.
