Staff Spotlight: Mary Hegley
Some people have difficulty deciding on a career path, but for TSCPA Events & Development Manager Mary Hegley, event planning was the obvious choice. “In my personal life, I like being the one in my family or friend group to spearhead any parties or put together itineraries for trips, so it made sense for me to make a career out of it!”
Mary has worked for TSCPA since 2021 and says she enjoys the planning and execution of an event, no matter how big or small the size. “It’s important to enjoy the moments when everything runs smoothly and according to plan but also embrace the chaos and be able to adjust on the fly,” she says. “No day is ever the same!” In her role with TSCPA, Mary is responsible for CPE programs, TSCPA event execution and administration, business development, and TSCPA meeting center rental coordination.
Growing up in South Florida, Mary attended Florida State University before moving to Nashville in 2015. She currently lives with her boyfriend Cooper and their dachshund Wiz. Mary is passionate about staying active, and in her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events and concerts and trying new restaurants.
