Moses Receives Impact Award From Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Margaret Moses, CPA, of Elizabethton, was recently presented with the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TSCPA) 2024 TSCPApex Impact Award.
The TSCPApex Awards Program recognizes the many ways that individuals contribute significant time, energy and intellect to developing the accounting profession and fostering its success. The Impact Award is given to a TSCPA member who has distinguished himself or herself in philanthropic activities.
In her nearly 50-year accounting career, Moses has gone above and beyond to give back to her community and profession. Earning her CPA license in 1977, Moses joined TSCPA in 1979 and has contributed to the society in many ways. As an active member of the Appalachian Chapter, she has held many chapter leadership roles, including as one of the first female Appalachian Chapter presidents. In her service to the society, Moses was also a member of TSCPA Council for many years, and she has served on the Public Relations Committee, as well.
Outside of TSCPA, Moses has been devoted to making a positive impact in her community, receiving several awards for her work with the Elizabethton Rotary Club and the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce. The first female member and president of the Elizabethton Rotary Club, Moses was recognized for her 30 years of perfect attendance at Rotary in 2022, illustrating her long-term commitment to the organization and community. In her involvement with the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, Moses has also served in the role of president. Today, she continues to provide value to her community by offering tax and accounting services through her firm, Margaret W. Moses, CPA, PC, which has been in operation since 1992.
