Soddy Daisy's Batson Named Chair-Elect of State CPA Society

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Heather S. Batson, CPA, of Soddy Daisy, was recently voted chair-elect of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the professional association for more than 10,000 members in Tennessee. Batson’s term began on June 15, 2024.

Batson is an audit partner at Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC in Chattanooga. She has been a member of TSCPA for 17 years, holding various leadership positions at the state and local level.

As chair-elect, Batson will serve on the TSCPA Board of Directors and Council, which is the governing body of the association and establishes policy for all society activities. She will concurrently serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of TSCPA’s Educational & Memorial Foundation, which provides comprehensive continuing education for CPAs and awards academic scholarships to deserving accounting students attending Tennessee’s colleges and universities.

Kelly S. Crow, CPA, of Memphis, tax partner with Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC, will be serving as chair with Batson.
