Tennessee Legislature Unveils Plan for Current Session in Response to COVID-19
This afternoon the Tennessee House and Senate leaders unveiled a plan for the current legislative session in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The legislature currently plans to:
- Pass an amended budget this week.
- Limit legislative business to mission critical bills.
- Recess this week for a time period to be determined at a later date.
Please note, a recess will allow the legislature to reconvene later this spring or summer to take up legislation that is still moving through committee. It is not currently clear when the legislature will reconvene.
