Tennessee to Offer Relief to Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19 Pandemic
Governor Bill Lee recently announced federal Coronavirus Relief Funds will be available to assist Tennessee small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. He has directed the Tennessee Department of Revenue to issue relief payments through the Tennessee Business Relief Program to small businesses for costs incurred as a result of mandatory business closures.
The amount of the business relief payment will be based on the annual gross sales of the business. The Department of Revenue stated it will publish more details about payment amounts and timing on its website in the coming days and urged Tennessee businesses that were closed via Executive Order to update their mailing addresses by logging into TNTAP.
