Tennessee Department of Revenue Increases County Motor Vehicle Title Fee
The Tennessee Department of Revenue recently issued Important Notice #22-11 regarding the county fee for receiving and forwarding applications for certificates of title.
Effective July 1, 2022, Public Chapter 1003 (2022) increases, from $5.50 to $8.50, the fee paid to county clerks for receiving and forwarding to the Tennessee Department of Revenue each application for certificate of title. The law allocates the additional $3.00 to the county for providing titling and registration services.
