Nashville's Stewart Named Chair of Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Geoffrey L. Stewart, CPA, of Nashville, was recently elected Chair of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the professional association for more than 10,000 members in Tennessee. Stewart’s term began on June 15, 2022.
Stewart is a partner with Aprio, LLP in Nashville. He has been a member of TSCPA for 30 years, holding various leadership positions at the state and local level.
As Chair, Stewart will serve on the TSCPA Board of Directors and Council, which is the governing body of the association and establishes policy for all society activities. He will concurrently serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of TSCPA’s Educational & Memorial Foundation, which provides comprehensive continuing education for CPAs and awards academic scholarships to deserving accounting students attending Tennessee’s colleges and universities.
Jonathan C. Bailey, CPA, of Johnson City, tax director at General Shale Brick, Inc., will be serving as Chair-elect with Stewart.
