Johnson City's Bailey Named Chair-elect of Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Jonathan C. Bailey, CPA, of Johnson City, was recently voted Chair-elect of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the professional association for more than 10,000 members in Tennessee. Bailey’s term began on June 15, 2022.
Bailey is tax director with General Shale Brick, Inc. in Johnson City. He has been a member of TSCPA for 28 years, holding various leadership positions at the state and local level.
As Chair-elect, Bailey will serve on the TSCPA Board of Directors and Council, which is the governing body of the association and establishes policy for all society activities. He will concurrently serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of TSCPA’s Educational & Memorial Foundation, which provides comprehensive continuing education for CPAs and awards academic scholarships to deserving accounting students attending Tennessee’s colleges and universities.
Geoffrey L. Stewart, CPA, of Nashville, partner with Aprio, LLP, will be serving as Chair with Bailey.
