IRS Revises 2021 Child Tax Credit and Advance Child Tax Credit FAQs
The IRS recently issued a revised set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) for the 2021 Child Tax Credit and Advance Child Tax Credit. The updated FAQs have been released to the public in Fact Sheet 2022-32.
The FAQ revisions are:
- Topic B — Eligibility for Advance Child Tax Credit Payments and the 2021 Child Tax Credit: removed question 7 and renumbered question 8.
The new FAQs supersede those that were released in Fact Sheet 2022-29 in May.
